CST 300 Week 8
Part 1:
TerraBit
The team video project on quantum computing was good because of the way they covered everything. The information provided in this presentation is clear and concise so that even people without much background knowledge can understand what they’re talking about. The research done for this project was top-notch with lots of facts and figures to back up every statement made. They also did a great job with the production value of their video, using interesting visuals and smooth transitions between different scenes. My only complaint would be that there should have been more human voices used instead of just one computer-generated voice speaking for everyone involved in the making of it. In general though, I think this team did an amazing job!
ByteBridge
ByteBridge’s Virtual Reality presentation is fantastic and very clear. The topic is covered well, with no confusion at all. The use of an artificial intelligence voice generator makes everything easy to understand and sound professional, but it removes the human touch. Their research is great too; they give a wide-ranging view of VR by looking into different areas such as space, gaming and therapy among others which adds richness to what they are talking about. Another thing I liked about this video was that it showed high quality production values throughout – every part of it looked interesting! Still there were some downsides: with such type of narration it becomes hard sometimes to identify who did what since there are no voices for each team member separately; plus I think they should have included parts where people can introduce themselves along with their roles because now we don’t know anything about them except names shown in credits roll. But overall these guys did an amazing job!
JRS consulting
JRS consulting presentation on predictive models and machine learning was excellent, covering everything you need to know about this topic in the simplest way possible. They did great research which gave an overview of many different types of models such as classification, forecast or clustering models etc., supervised versus unsupervised learning etc.. Each person spoke fairly and confidently about what they were assigned to talk about which is very good! It was really nice seeing that everyone participated equally and I loved how well done their presentation itself was too. The video production quality remained high throughout and it kept me interested from beginning to end. All in all though they did some great work here!
Part 2
This class has taught me many things starting from better writing techniques to working with other people and collaborating on multiple projects. Working with my team has been a positive experience and I am glad we are able to work well together and in sync. Our communication and collaboration was great overall. One thing that would be effective for next projects would be putting a timeline for our project and completing them ahead of time so we get to have a period of reviewing and revising. Regardless, we still worked very well on most projects.
