CST 300 Week 6

Part 1

During our meeting, we discussed different capstone projects that were interesting. The idea that stood out to me the most is Jerrick’s idea of using AR and VR to provide education for those who cannot have access to basic schooling or help them homeschool. What made this proposal catch my attention was its similarity with my personal belief in applying AR and VR in language learning. Both these theories were well received by the rest of the members hence there was a lively conversation about what they can achieve and how they should be implemented.

Part 2

This week, I learned about resumes and cover letters. These are important tools for getting a job in any industry. The videos were very helpful because they showed me how to make the perfect resume and cover letter. I’ve written resumes and cover letters that got me jobs in tech before, but going over it again made me realize that you should always be improving them. While attending CSUMB, my plan is to continue working on my resume so that by the end of the program, I have one that can help me get even better jobs. Reading through my teammates’ resumes was really helpful, because now I know what to do to make mine better too. Our group’s final presentation project is coming along well. We have a good foundation laid down and we know what we’re putting on our slideshow. Everything is going great and I feel really good about our project.
