Part One:  Support and Comment on Teammates' Goals: I have commented on Dakota  and Matthew posts:  1.  https://address4mattscsumbjourney.blogspot.com/2024/05/week-4-cst-300.html?sc=1716949385380#c6118998660527499728 2.  https://dakotacsonline.blogspot.com/2024/05/week-4.html?sc=1716950031140#c6226540489196390349  Part Two:  Possible Capstone ideas  One project idea that I want to pursue is making an iOS app which uses augmented reality (AR) for providing immersive language learning experiences. It might translate and give pronunciation guides on top of real-life objects, as well as include interactive exercises in order to make learning languages more enjoyable and efficient too. While working on this undertaking, not only will I be able to test my skills in programming but also see the applications of AR in education. Another project proposal I would like to pursue is the development of a cooperative art platform based on artificial intel...

CST 300 Week 4

Part One: My Educational Goals I want to merge advanced machine learning and neurology using my skills in both software engineering and medicine. I will spend the next two years at CSUMB studying software design, data analysis, and machine learning. At the same time, I will work on pre-med requirements at Clovis Community College while volunteering at my local hospital and observing doctors in their practice. Part Two: My Career Goals I want to be a well-known neurologist who focuses on using machine learning and brain-computer interface technologies for the betterment of neurology. I hope to create new treatments that will greatly improve the way we care for patients and their outcomes. When I finish my computer science and medical training, I would like to do medical research in partnership with leading health technology fi...

CST 300 Week 3

Time management and study strategy:   This week has been very challenging, and it reminded of the significance of better time-organizing. My success depends on my mastery and improvement in this habit. Effective time management will enable me split between my academic and full-time job, as well as my personal life. Insights from "What Every Computer Science Major Should Know": “What Every Computer Science Major Should Know”, an article, is an elaborate piece of advice to computer science students that stresses the importance of practical learning. Instead of writing resumes, they should create portfolios. Such documents must contain personal blogs and per-project pages with public code which can be browsed on platforms such as GitHub or Google Code. In addition, it is beneficial to have contributions to open-source projects documented in a portfolio.   The article also stresses the significance of technical communication where ideas can only be represented clearly and persuas...

Reflection on Learning Strategy This week, I have really seen the value of active learning methods. It is not enough to just plan good study habits; they also have to be practiced. When thinking about what I do to myself, there are some things that stick out: active reading skills like note-taking and critical thinking help me understand things better and remember them longer. But one thing I need more than anything else is structure – without it, any schedule becomes impossible for me to follow through with because balancing school against life becomes overwhelming if not optimized around where my attention should be at any given moment (which usually means creating an environment conducive towards concentrate). Another problem area lies within strategies used when preparing for exams; these could use work since they often make me feel stressed out unnecessarily while also resulting in lower scores than desired. Project Management Insights The videos this week gave a lot of infor...
